Beautiful, small family owned early childhood centre are looking for an experienced qualified teacher to join their team in Ponsonby, Auckland
Due to an increase in enrollments, the centre has a fantastic opportunity to add to their outstanding team of experienced educators. The centre is committed to high quality level of teaching and care for young children and practices a RIE and Piklar philosophy throughout the centre’s learning approach.
... As a Kaiako you will work alongside a strong team who work to great ratios which means you have time to teach and develop meaningful relationships with your tamariki. This centre practices continuity of care so wherever possible you will move with your cohort of children to deepen your connections with them and continue their growth as respectful caring children.
In this role you will initially start in the older classrooms in a support role then move to an infants and toddlers teacher role in September and start your cohort continuity journey. Together with a newly qualified teacher you will be role models for your group of infants and toddlers and create a nurturing, engaging environment. Experience working with all age groups is highly advantageous.
Requirements
- Bachelors or Dip/Grad Diploma (Level 7) ECE or Primary qualification
- Current NZ teacher’s registration
- Valid NZ work rights
- Preferably knowledge of RIE/Piklar philosophy and/or willingness to learn
