One of Dunedin’s oldest established Financial Market Supervisor & Trustee Companies is looking for an Accountant to join their Private Wealth Team.

Working within a vibrant team of accountants and reporting to the Administration Team Leader you will become a core member of the organisation. Despite having a long history within New Zealand this company prides themselves on changing and growing with new technology to ensure they stay ahead of the curve and can offer clients the most up to date advice. This is also reflective of the way they run the team and with a dynamic set a skills you could have the ability to contribute across a number of areas of the business.

The purpose of your role will be to prepare annual financial statements for clients and the compilation of IRD returns as well as to carry out other associated duties in line with the business unit operational plan.

Other duties will include but are not limited to;

  • Maintaining and enhancing client relationships
  • Working to appropriate workload priorities
  • Keeping up to date with relevant legislation and compliance matters
  • Delivering against agreed revenue targets
  • Providing support to other staff with any project related tasks

The ideal candidate will have;

  • 3+ Years of experience in the Accounting Industry
  • Sounds knowledge of administrative and commercial practises
  • Ability to manage client needs in a timely and professional manner
  • Relevant computer programs experience
  • The ability to build relationships with a number of different clients at different levels
  • Fantastic problem solving skills
