My client is seeking an experienced Accounts Administrator for a position based in Blenheim. Role is 35 - 40 hours per week.

My client is a busy construction company and they are seeking an experienced Accounts Administrator for a full time role based in Blenheim. The role has some flexibility to be between 35 - 40 hours per week depending on the preferences of the successful candidate.

The Role

In this role, you will be responsible for:

- Processing purchase orders and Aged Purchase Order reporting

- Invoices: approval, coding, and entering into CostCon

- Creditors: allocations, maintenance, filing, new accounts

- Reconciliations

- Preparation of wages; entering into MYOB for processing, timesheets, Labour Hours report, and staff leave processing

- Health and Safety administration

- General reception duties including phone enquiries, and face to face contact with clients, subconstractors and other staff

- Document management

- Other general administration duties as required (position description available)

Ideal Candidate

Our ideal candidate has experience in a similar role and can hit the ground running. Ideally, you will have also worked in a construction environment but this is not essential. High level communication skills are a must as you will be dealing with anyone; from clients to tradesmen. Above all, you will be able to work autonomously, be an excellent time manager, and be highy organised. Experience with MYOB and CostCon is highly desirable but not essential.

This is a great opportunity to work for a busy, stable construction company who cover the South Island in a role you can truly own. The team is small in Blenheim, but supported by a larger team in Nelson.
