The organsiation is well known in Wellington and New Zealannd, and the culture is supportive, cohesive and attractive. There is flexibility around working hours and conditions and you will be based in the heart of Wellington. This role sits in the shared services group, and goes above and beyond the everyday Accounts Payable Team Lead role. To be successful in this role, you must be willing to work in a fast paced environment, be productive not reactive and ready to improve, implement and change current working processes.

The following experience is a must:

  • Proven previous transformation experience
  • Implemented change in Accounts Payable or Purchasing
  • Ability to analyse reporting, write reports and use as a tool to measure and monitor
  • Understanding of the fundamentals around control and reporting
  • Leadership experience in a similar environment

In this role you will be responsible for:

  • Looking at the current processes and identifying what can be done better (end to end)
  • Six direct reports
  • Centralising the purchasing
  • Owning the transformation activities using project resources and support which will be provided
  • Manage BAU and get the project going
  • Owning and driving outcomes
