Strategy and Planning Advisor

Randstad has an exciting opportunity to work with a diverse, Public Sector organisation as they search for a Strategy and Planning Advisor to join their high performing Finance function that will assist them to continue making a positive difference in the community.

The successful candidate will apply their management accounting experience to lead the organisation's business planning and funding processes.
The development of these financial strategies need to ensure there is high quality strategic planning, forecasting and guidance for the organisation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Build and manage strong relationships across the business with some key stakeholders including programme managers and senior financial leadership
  • Assist in the development of project costings, advise on business case development and how they link into the overall financial planning
  • Support management and help provide oversight of key programmes of work
  • Provide advice to the business and prepare strong financial evidence when preparing for external budget bids including the annual Treasury Budget processes
  • Support management to monitor performance of programmes or work that have received external funding

Requirements

  • You will have demonstrated experience working within financial strategy and planning in a large, complex environment
  • Experience working within a large, public sector organisation with experience pertaining to external budget bids, treasury reporting and Government policy
  • Proven ability to build results-focussed relationships with stakeholders across an organisation
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to translate financial information to non-financial stakeholders.
