Proud to be exclusively working alongside one of Wellington’s leading Government Agencies in creating a new team which will be responsible for gathering information which will have a serious effect on decision making within the organisation.

The Company

This Government Agency is responsible for a vital service to New Zealand and is full of highly passionate people who want to make things better for the country. As a relatively new Ministry they are still working out how to better provide their capabilities to New Zealand.

The Team

This is a brand new team that is forming and will need to build its own culture and form of good delivery. With the right manager leading from the front they will be responsible for using data, surveys and analytics to provide the necessary tools to affect decision making within the organisation.

The Role

As an analyst in this team you will be providing continuous improvements and enhancements through data, modeling and analytics and being part of a high performance team. The deliverables are strictly about Wellbeing for their customers and as a newly created team there is an excellent opportunity to make this into something unique.

Some accountabilities will include:

  • Working at a strategic level to collaboratively improve Wellbeing for New Zealanders.
  • Having a logical mind and great numeracy skills.
  • Modeling and Analytics to improve long term Wellbeing and in real time for incremental improvements.
  • Be cooperative and have great people skills.
  • Being involved in the development of a new team including and maintaining a high standard.
  • Have experience with survey design.
  • Guarantee quality assurance, analysis and reporting that you produce.
  • Support the development of the strategy to improve overall wellbeing for customers.
  • Assist development and implementation of approaches to measure outcomes and prioritise action.
  • Provide useful and timely modeling and analytics to respond to requests and support the wider organization.
  • Support budget processes through quality modeling analytics and advice.
  • Experience in SAS or similar system tools.

Experience

This role needs a capable analyst with excellent capabilities in Data, Survey Design and Analytics. Being a part of the team is a major component so great communication skills, patience and a drive to deliver a quality service are important. A strategic thinker with a passion for their work and a solid understanding of data and reporting tools and technologies would be preferred.

Why work here?

You would struggle to find an organisation that is so passionate about what they do and having these people around you creates a sense of solidarity and a mutual mission to do what is right for people’s Wellbeing. You will be well rewarded for your work with $60,000-$90,000 p/a and great opportunities to progress in your career.
