Business Analyst - Auckland

About the Company:

This fast-growing, Kiwi owned and operated business is in the financial and credit vetting space. The Company offices are south of Auckland CBD. They offer a variety of innovative products and services which give their customers an unrivaled customer experience in terms of data reach – They truly value innovation, flexibility and speed of delivery as their core values.

Due to continued growth and expansion, this business is now looking for an additional Business Analyst to their team. You'll enjoy working on a range of complex projects therefore possessing a strong, technical and business background would be necessary. You'll come with fresh ideas, processes and a solutionist mindset to spot opportunities for business improvement.

As part of a multidisciplinary development team, you will work with others to assist and contribute to the build and implementation of the company's organisational strategies, policies, practices and projects.

This is a varied Business Analyst role which includes a wide range of responsibilities, some of these duties are highlighted below;

  • Carry out gathering, validating and documenting business requirements and technical processes
  • Work with mostly internal (and external) stakeholders together to create functional specifications for solutions
  • Consult and change where necessary Business Process and Design
  • Develop, implement and maintain a customer support/help system
  • Continually identify product improvements and innovative solutions
  • Assist with the implementation and testing of solutions

What we want from you?

  • Varied business analysis skills and experience
  • Any experience working in a Financial, Credit, Registry and/or Telco/Energy domain is highly advantageous
  • Have a strong mix of technical and business skills
  • Possess a solid technical understanding of software (i.e., applications, data, integration, database, business systems, API's etc.)
  • Strong ability to carry out business and solution requirements: research, gathering, documentation, development, testing and support
  • Experience working to Agile practices and delivery models (beneficial, Trello and Confluence skills preferable)
  • Demonstrate a delivery focused mindset with a passion for innovation and making this more efficate
  • Some experience in Change management and processes
  • Comfortable engaging with stakeholders at all level (technical & non-technical) and have a low-action threshold
  • Polished communication & interpersonal skills
