job description

We are looking for a Foreman in Christchurch, you will be responsible for leading a crew and managing their day to day activities. Along with complying with the company’s Health and Safety policies, your job will also involve encouraging the development of staff within the crew, as well as engaging with both internal and external clients on a daily basis.

You will be responsible for:

  • The ability to manage and lead a crew of 2 - 4
  • Construct and install civil infrastructure items including, concrete structures, formwork and concrete pour
  • Ability to manage projects and ensure all key deadlines are met
  • A strong background in reading plans and running jobs from start to finish
  • Be required to work hands on in guiding the crew through the job when needed
  • Be committed to total quality management for each project undertaken
  • Maintain health and safety standards

Required Skills

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in Civil structures/formwork
  • Excellent communication & leadership skills
  • Licences - Class 1,2 and WTR
  • Site Safe, first Aid is beneficial
  • Good attitude towards work with the ability to be flexible and solutions focussed
