job description

The company

For this organization, ensuring the safety of New Zealanders is at the heart of everything they do. This newly formed government agency looks to uphold the highest standards of support across this sector.

The role

As this organization cements its foundational structure, they are looking for a new Team Leader to support a small team that handles investigations into complaints and breaches of professional misconduct.

The team

The team's core responsibility is processing and collating evidence relating to complaints raised relating to those registered under the organization. Leading this team you will be managing these processes to ensure the board and registrar are well-informed and these issues of professional misconduct are efficiently investigated.

Strong customer service and robust business processes are fundamental to this. It is heavily a legislative and regulatory environment so the perfect candidate must have experience in such an environment, dealing with sensitive information, championing the customer, and pushing for process improvement to help mold how this team works.

About you

  • Collaborative people leader that is used to managing a small team
  • Strong experience in case management and customer service
  • Sound understanding of the regulatory environment and how the machinery of government operates
