Digital Front End Architect - Innovations and Ventures

They are a communications giant with a fantastic pedigree who are now looking to add a Senior Front End / Web focused Architect to their very talented Digital Services Team to help further enhance their already advanced, pionering customer offerings and services.

About the role

  • Reporting to the Lead Architect and working very closely with the Head of Engineering, you will play a very important role in the defining of best practice for new and existing projects in line with business goals
  • You will be involved across all lifecycle phases from strategy, requirements gathering, design, implementation and deployment.
  • You will provide technical guidance to internal staff within the business as well as provide technical leadership.
  • Using your in-depth industry knowledge and working with other senior creatives, you will actively pursue and identify emerging technology trends/innovations and position the business to take full advantage of them.
  • Communicate regularly on the product status with internal and external team members as appropriate

Skills and experience

  • Strong commercial experience as a Solutions/Technical Architect
  • Excellent understanding of Front End and web technologies
  • Technical implementation experience in a omni-channel and/or eCommerce retailer or a large enterprise business on consumer offerings projects
  • Strong technical understanding of Hybris and/or Microservices
  • Previous software engineering skills in front-and-back end technologies - JavaScript, .NET and/or Java
  • Extensive experience with a variety of server side technologies, database and frameworks
  • Strong knowledge of Adobe software and technology solutions
  • Experience working across the full development lifecycle from strategic planning through to delivery
  • Familiar working in a Agile environment following flavors such as Scrum, Kanban and/or Lean (ideal but not essential)
  • Inspiring leadership and motivational skills
  • Polished communication and presentation skills
