Early Childhood Educator - Full time job - LONDON, UK

A Childhood Centre situated within the London Borough of Redbridge is seeking to appoint a full time ECE on a temporary to permanent basis, a position that begin in SEPT 2018

This is a full time position that will require the successful candidate to work flexible hours to account for the different shifts within the Centre.

Are you motivated to genuinely make a difference to the lives of young children within Early Years education?

Duties and responsibilities of the role include:

  1. Protecting children from any harm or abuse and reporting any concerns immediately to the designated Safeguarding Officer
  2. Contributing the highest standard of physical, emotional and social care for each child
  3. Tailoring best practice and routines to ensure that the individual needs of each child are able to be met throughout the day
  4. Undertaking a range of activities appropriate to a child’s age range and/or development stage
  5. Developing bonds with key children and supporting colleagues when it is most required
  6. Building trust with all parents/carers, ensuring that a positive relationship is sustained through open and honest communication
  7. Working alongside the Manager/Room Leader to ensure that the Nursery’s vision is maintained
  8. Recording accidents in the Accident Book
  9. Offering flexibly and being a team player
  10. Ensuring each child is collected by somebody known to the Nursery
  11. Washing and changing children as required
  12. Providing comfort and warmth to a child who is unwell/poorly
