We are looking for a Qualified and NZ Registered Early Childhood Teacher to work within Albany, Auckland. Are you a passionate early childhood educator who is highly committed to providing quality early childhood education and care? Keep on reading and this could be the job for you!

Key responsibilities

  • Deliver a curriculum aligned to Te Whāriki
  • Plan, implement and evaluate a learning program that is responsive to the strengths and interests of children
  • Promote learning opportunities that are inclusive, equitable, and culturally responsive
  • Document children’s learning and take responsibility for children’s profile books and e-portfolio as agreed with the center professional leader

The Successful Candidate

You will be a Qualified Early Childhood Teacher either provisionally or fully registered and have experience working within New Zealand. You will be flexible to work on a rostered basis and will be comfortable with both the opening and closing shifts.

  • Early childhood teaching qualification recognised by the Education Council of Aotearoa NZ
  • Knowledge and understanding of current early childhood education theory and practice
  • Be a team player who has great communication skills, with parents, staff and children
  • Can use initiative and is committed to quality practice standards and the principles of Te Whāriki
  • Enthusiasm and a strong desire to make a difference to children in their early years while building strong links with their whānau and families.
