School overview: This a brand new school opening in March 2019, the second campus of a growing international bilingual Early Childhood Education organisation in the heart of the international community in Shanghai. The school is set in a purpose-built Early Years environment and follows an international bilingual and project-based teaching and learning system, providing a broad cross-curricular education based on the English National Curriculum, EYFS (Early Years Foundation Stage) criteria and the California Department of Education DRDP (Desired Results Developmental Profile) criteria. Their unique curriculum is also based on the American CalTech Early Childhood STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths) and the Reggio-inspired child-centred approach through exploration and discovery using arts in everyday life.

The schools aim is to encourage children to have a positive impact on the world. Children will leave with strong social, emotional, bilingual and academic foundations, to confidently enter Primary School and beyond. They stress the need to develop the children’s academics, character, health and their emotional wellbeing through a child-centred and values-led curriculum. The school philosophy is based on the idea that, children should love coming to school. The school will adopt a holistic approach to foster the whole-brain individual. It will be an exciting place where they can socialise, inquire, play and succeed. Their learning will be designed to capture their imagination and foster creativity. A positive environment will create the conditions that enable them to flourish, develop and achieve, in addition to helping create confident and well-balanced children.


  • Fully qualified teacher, ideally with a major in Early Childhood
  • At least 2 years of experience with young children
  • Belief in a whole-child approach to learning
  • Able to provide a language-rich learning environment throughout the day to strengthen children’s cognitive abilities and able to use careful questioning, observation and reflection to inform their daily practice
  • Comfortable working as part of a teaching team, usually comprising a western teacher, a Chinese teacher and teaching assistants (this does mean there will be a generous student to teacher ratio)
  • Energetic and enthusiastic, with the ability to encourage children to become active and motivated learners.

Salary and Benefits:

  • Salary from RMB 16,000 to RMB 28,000 after tax per month
