job description

We are a privately owned, 50 license centre located within close vicinity to Birkenhead, Glenfield and Northcote. Our centre is a beautifully presented home away from home in a residential area and we are closely connected with our local families and community. We follow the Te Whariki philosophy and pride ourselves on a high quality learning environment, alongside genuine love and care for our children.

Due to internal promotion we are looking for a qualified Early Childhood Teacher to step into our Head Teacher Under 3’s position. This will be overseeing two rooms of 10 babies and up to 10 - 15 toddlers, and a team of highly competent teachers. You will be responsible for overseeing programme planning, self review, fostering routines and quality care, and will be provided with 5 hours non contact time per week. Our centre is open from 7.30am - 5.30pm and the role is 32 or 40 hours per week. Previous experience in a Head Teacher/Team Leader role is not essential - we are looking for someone with high standards who is able to role model these in a team environment.

You will need:
An ECE teaching qualification
NZ Teachers registration
Great time management skills
Friendly fun personality
Good understanding of Te Whariki
Passionate about your role as an educator

We value our teachers and pay them accordingly so an excellent salary is offered, alongside flexible environment that values family. We will invest in your continuing education and provide onsite support when required.

If you are ready for that next step in your career, contact Yasmin Duchateau on 09 300 7795 for a confidential chat, alternatively apply online today.
