We currently have a great opportunity to lead the Business Partnering function of a truly unique organisation in Wellington CBD on a fixed-term basis. This role will give you the opportunity to drive financial understanding and performance through uplifting financial capability as you lead a team of trusted advisors in a strategic role.

You will be a proven people leader with solid experience of advising and working with senior managers and executives within a complex organisation, whilst driving financial performance and uplifting capability.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the Finance Business Partnering team, ensuring work programmes are implemented to a high standard, whilst ensuring the ongoing measurement of team performance, developing and supporting staff in their roles.
  • Take a continuous improvement approach towards uplifting team and financial capability, promoting the relationship between financial and non-financial data in relation to business performance.
  • Promote proactive engagement with business leaders when understanding financial risks and opportunity across the organisation, acting as a true trusted advisor.
  • Support the team in the completion of month end activities and management accounting functions, whilst proactively engaging with project teams on all finance related matters.
  • Lead internal organisation financial reporting, alongside the production and improvement of the reporting pack for ELT, ensuring value added commentary and insights are provided in an effective manner.
  • Oversee the management of the FMIS system, leading the design and delivery of a long term maintenance and enhancement roadmap.

Key Requirements:

  • CA Qualification or Equivalent.
  • 15+ years relevant experience in the accounting/finance discipline.
  • Proven leadership experience within a large/complex organisation.
  • Strong FMIS knowledge and understanding.
  • Management Accounting and/or Business Partnering experience, at either the Senior or Managerial level.
