About the Role – Human Resource Consultant
We have a permanent position available within the Pūmanawa Tangata / Human Resources team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Staff Support: Consult with staff on HR needs, provide advice, and develop tailored strategies.
- Recruitment: Assist with job descriptions, ads, interviews, contracts, and onboarding.
- Employee Relations: Manage conflicts, disciplinary actions, and grievances while promoting a positive work environment.
- Performance Management: Create performance systems, set goals, and handle appraisals.
- Compliance: Ensure adherence to NZ employment laws and assist in policy development.
- Organisational Development: Support change initiatives and enhance organisational effectiveness.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate and confidential staff records.
We are seeking a Human Resources Consultant who:
- Embraces a whānau-first, tikanga-based wellbeing approach.
- Holds a Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business Administration, or a related field, or has 3+ years of HR consulting experience.
- Possesses strong knowledge of New Zealand employment laws and regulations.
- Can handle sensitive information with discretion and demonstrates excellent interpersonal, communication, and organisational skills.
- Provides evidence of full Covid-19 vaccination, holds a full driver’s licence, and has proof of the right to work in New Zealand for at least one year.
