Reporting to the HR Lead in Australia (with a dotted line to the NZ CEO), this position looks after all operational HR functions for the New Zealand workforce (current FTE is approximately 100).

The HR Manager will be responsible for providing all HR advice to leaders within the New Zealand business, and is supported by a larger HR team in Australia.

The role would be well suited to an experienced generalist who has worked in a busy sole-charge environment previously.

Partnering with the local executive leadership team, this role will support the business with the delivery of and advising on ER and IR policy, process review and development, performance management, and more.

The ideal candidate for this role will have:

  • Extensive experience partnering with leaders to advise on ER, IR, and performance management related matters, ideally within a sole-charge capacity;
  • Strong working knowledge of New Zealand employment legislation;
  • Experience providing advice and executing HR delivery related to staff engagement, staff safety and wellbeing, organisational development, change management, remuneration and benefits, talent management, and more;
  • Highly developed interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal, and a proven ability to build and foster positive relationships with a range of stakeholders; and
  • Strong people management skills, and the ability to coach, develop and influence people to foster a culture of success and help drive business objectives.

Experience working in a sole-charge HR generalist role within the Technology sector, or within a comparable environment, is preferred but not essential.
