We are looking for a Qualified and Registered Early Childhood Teacher to work within Kelston, Auckland. Are you a passionate educator who is highly committed to providing quality early childhood education and care? This could be the job for you!

Key responsibilities

• Deliver a curriculum aligned to Te Whāriki
• Plan, implement and evaluate a learning program that is responsive to the strengths and interests of children
• Promote learning opportunities that are inclusive, equitable, and culturally responsive
• Document children’s learning and take responsibility for children’s profile books and e-portfolio as agreed with the center professional leader
• Work in the infants room with the around 8.30am starts to 4.30pm finishes

The Successful Candidate

You will be a qualified and registered early childhood teacher either provisionally or fully registered and have experience working within New Zealand. More importantly you will have solid experience working in the infants room. You will be flexible to start early and finish late if needed although you will have mainly set hours bewteen the times of 8am - 4.30pm.

• Early childhood teaching qualification recognised by the Education Council of Aotearoa NZ
• Knowledge and understanding of current early childhood education theory and practice
• Be a team player who has great communication skills, with parents, staff and children
• Can use initiative and is committed to quality practice standards and the principles of Te Whāriki
• Enthusiasm and a strong desire to make a difference to children in their early years while building strong links with their whānau and families.
