insights data analyst in Auckland

You will be part of a Data Analytics team and working at an iconic and well-known Kiwi Business. As an Insights Data Analyst in this team, you will be extracting, manipulating and draw insights from the data to be the voice to stakeholders to prove the value of data and help them make better business decisions.

In addition, as an Insights Data Analyst, you will assist with the preparation of business cases, provide technical support and advice using data sets and database design knowledge to recommend, build and implement data solutions.

This role could also be for someone that is looking to step into a senior position providing you have the drive, personality and at least a few years of data analysis experience already.

How does a day look like?

• Data manipulation of large data sets
• Analysis and extraction of data using SQL and SAS
• Insights reporting
• Gathering requirement with stakeholders and take them on the data lifecycle journey
• Presentation
• Comfortable with stakeholders

What are we looking for?

Hard skills:

• Strong SQL skills
• SAS experience
• Insights reporting
• working customer data
• Nice to have - cloud - AWS

Soft Skills:

• Few years of Insights Data Analytics experience
• Communication Skills – strong written and verbal
• Excellent stakeholder management skills
• Passion for data

This role would suit someone with a statistical, mathematical or marketing background, 2 years of experience in the analytics space and who loves to interact with stakeholders.
