We are currently working with Volpara Health Technologies exclusively to hire an amazing Graduate or Junior Software Engineer within a dedicated product team in Wellington.

Based on Microsoft’s robust Azure data technology, the VolparaEnterprise software provides quick and easy ConstantQuality metrics and breast-specific key performance indicators (KPIs) through dynamic, interactive dashboards.

The Position

As a graduate or Junior Software Engineer, you will initially be:

  • Analysing, designing and developing the automation testing suites
  • Providing ongoing maintenance, support and enhancements for existing products
  • Collaborating closely with cross functional teams including QA, scientists, project and product managers to build cutting edge solutions to the Health Industry
  • Working in a CI/CD environment and providing recommendations to the team moving forward

The Person

As either a recent graduate or someone with experience in a Junior Software Engineering role you would bring a strong willingness to learn, a natural focus on customers and great products and be passionate about making improvements to Women’s health and well being. You will be self motivated and able to manage your workload to contribute efficiently. This is a collaborative and Agile environment so excellent communications skills are a fundamental requirement.

Ideally you will have:

  • A bachelors degree in a relevant technical discipline like Computer Science particularly if you are a recent graduate
  • Experience in a high level language, C# and .Net would be ideal, this could be commercial experience or from projects at university
  • Familiarity with a range of concepts like REST API’s, Docker, SQL, Service Bus, BLOB Storage
  • An understanding of continuous integration, automation frameworks and web related network technologies
  • The ambition to develop, take on more responsibilities and the commitment to achieving goals
