We are currently working with Volpara Health Technologies exclusively to hire an amazing Software Engineer to join a highly collaborative product development team.


Volpara Health Technologies (ASX:VHT) is an award winning industry leader in Digital Health Products with the goal of reducing the cost and increasing the quality and efficiencies of breast cancer screening internationally.

With many global customers including a strong presence in the United States they are in an excellent position to continue to grow their core research, development and ICT capabilities within in New Zealand.

The Team

Join a highly collaborative and Agile team who are growing quickly. They work to evolve the innovative Digital Health products that they deliver to a global market place. They leverage the power and flexibility of Microsoft’s Azure PaaS and IoT Edge technologies, including machine learning.

The team are passionate about what they do and collaborative effectively with the wider business including a robust data science team, marketing and sales professionals globally and of course global customers as well.

The Position

As an experienced Software Engineer with a strong focus on .Net development and associated Microsoft technologies you will:

  • Design and develop well architected and coded software products.
  • Analyse, design and develop tests and test automation suites.
  • Provide ongoing maintenance, support and enhancements for existing products.
  • Develop appropriate design and presentation documents for internal customers.
  • Collaborate with cross functional team members, including quality assurance, scientists, project and product managers to achieve elegant solutions.
  • Provide recommendations for continuous improvement.
  • Provide leadership to a small team, contribute to planning activities, lead stand-ups and take on some ownership of user story estimation, and managing overall team progress.

Ideally you will have:

  • Solid experience with C# and .NET, ideally in a backend systems development.
  • Experience with Azure PaaS services, such as Service Bus, Web Jobs or Functions would be highly beneficial
  • Familiarity with a range of backend web technology concepts, including REST APIs, Docker, SQL, and Blob Storage.
  • Experience of both waterfall and agile test environments.
  • An excellent understanding of design patterns and can demonstrate their use.
  • Experience of using continuous integration and automation frameworks and associated practices, including unit testing.
  • An understanding of web related networking technologies including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, HTTP and SSL.
  • A computer science degree or equivalent
