As a Network Engineer, you'll collaborate with internal and external, technical and non- technical stakeholders. Your main tasks will include providing network platform solutions, identifying solutions, designing, documenting and implementing solutions for your customers.
You will be experienced in configuring and implementing secure, high-availability networks in regulated environments.
Skills Needed:
Because this is a Fixed Term (3-6 months, likely to extend) role with an immediate start, it is ideal that the successful candidate hits the ground running. You'll be able to work independently. You need to be confident in talking to clients. You will be supported by the wider team to be successful in this role. You will also have:
- Solid Network Engineering skills with strong understanding of network solutions.
- The ideal candidate should have expertise in data centre routing and switching, Cisco, VXLAN, NX-OS, DCNM, BGP, OSPF, and EIGRP routing protocols, and network security.
- Experience managing technical aspects of large-scale projects.
- Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking abilities.
- General knowledge of the wider IT ecosystem – such as servers, virtualization/cloud platforms, applications, identity, and other supporting infrastructure is an advantage.
Responsibilities:
As a Network Engineer will be responsible for:
- Design, implementation and maintenance of the network infrastructure.
- Collaborating with customers to understand network requirements.
- Monitoring network performance, proactively identifying issues and implementing adjustments as well as responding to network incidents and outages from time to time.
- Implement and enforce network security measures.
