job description

This well known, decile 7 school in the heart of Howick, has a great opportunity for a NE teacher to join their team.

There is a rich mix of ethnicities in the school making it a lovely environment to teach in.

The school has been converted to single cell classrooms. With Innovative Learning Pedagogy
being implemented progressively throughout the school the configuration of teaching spaces
is being reviewed. The Year 5-6 area has been remodeled as an Innovative Learning
Environment. Teachers coming to work at the school need to be prepared to transition
into this style of teaching. They have an Information Centre, a pool and modest hall. Their
spacious grounds provide ample space for the children to play.

The successful applicant will set up a New Entrant room to cater for roll growth in terms 3
and 4, within the Year 1 Team. The position concludes on 18 December 2019.

Applicants need to be enthusiastic, self-motivated team players, whose teaching practice
demonstrates effective pedagogy and the integrated use of e-learning. A warm, welcoming
personality and a passion for teaching young children is required.

The successful applicants will be keen to learn, and ready to contribute to the professional
growth and functioning of the team.

If you would like to find out more about the role, please apply with your updated CV or contact Nolene Kloppers on 0800 800 204 option 3.
