As a key member of the team, you will be involved in creating tailored learning experiences that celebrate each child's uniqueness, alongside ongoing collaboration with a Ministry of Education speech language therapist, ensuring that every child receives the support they need to thrive
Key responsibilities include:
- Planning and implementation of New Zealand Early Childhood Curriculum and creating learning programmes for children
- Provide high quality care and education to infants and toddlers, focusing on their developmental needs and routines
- Mentoring educators and supporting staff with curriculum development and compliance with health, safety, and licensing standards.
- Leading team meetings and professional development activities to enhance quality of practices
Qualifications and Skills
- Early Childhood Education/Primary Teaching Diploma or Degree or equivalent qualification (required)
- Current NZ teacher registration
- Proven leadership experience in a childcare setting (ideally with under 2's)
- Strong understanding of Te Whāriki
- Willingness to learn and grow in a leadership role
