Job Title: Part-Time Assistant Accountant
Location: Auckland Central, NZ
Hours: 24 hours per week - we can be flexible on how these hours are done
Join our dynamic team as a Part-Time Assistant Accountant, where you will play a crucial role in supporting the Firm Accountant with a variety of bookkeeping and accounting tasks.
... Responsibilities:
- Manage creditors by processing invoices in Xero and handling monthly disbursements.
- Collate payroll data, conduct initial checks, and reconcile leave balances.
- Maintain and update Xero records.
- Issue general invoices, including those for tenants, and address related queries.
- Oversee trust account administration.
- Assist in month-end reporting and reconciliations.
- Provide support to the wider team as needed.
Team Contribution:
- Adhere to company policies and procedures, addressing any breaches promptly.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives by seeking more efficient ways to complete tasks.
- Foster positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Assist colleagues with overflow duties when required.
- Respond to staff queries regarding creditors and the iFirm system.
- Serve as a backup for the Firm Accountant in key processes.
Experience:
- Previous experience in a similar Assistant Accountant role.
- Familiarity with accounts payable management systems.
