I am looking for talented Payroll professional to join this well established multi-national organisation located in Auckland. You will need to be comfortable as a quick learner paying both permanent and casual staff and have a full understanding of New Zealand legislation.   • Processing, payment and recording of all payment of staff wages and salaries.
  • Ensure employees are paid in accordance with Employment Agreements and Policies.
  • Assume the position of Senior Payroll Advisor in the absence of the Senior Payroll Advisor
  • Assist in maintaining the integrity of the payroll and HRIS system
  • Liaise with business units/managers to ensure all required information is provided within the agreed timeframes.
  • Provide effective communication between business units and all other staff to enable all staff to be provided with appropriate information in relation to payroll matters.
  • Respond & provide accurate and timely support to staff & managers on general payroll issues.
  • Contribute towards the development and implementation of procedural manuals for all payroll processing functions.
  • Assist in the implementation of enhancements to the payroll system and procedures.
  • Assist with Payroll administrative functions in relation to Superannuation, ACC, PAYE and any other external agencies.
  • Stay abreast of employment legislative changes relevant to payroll.
  • Complete other payroll related duties that may be required from time to time within your capability.
  • Provide ongoing support and contribute to the wider HR team, and participate in projects that are undertaken from time to time.
  • Participate in workplace safety management practices to improve safety and health in the workplace environment to keep oneself and others self, and to achieve continuous improvement and recognition of best practice.


  • Chris 21 Payroll experience – desirable not essential
  • A good understanding of Collective Agreements & Unions
  • Proven general knowledge of employment legislation that relates to payroll
  • Intermediate level of Microsoft applications (Word, Excel, Email)
  • Excellent clear & concise verbal and written communication skills
  • Demonstrates a process orientated approach
  • Accurate and detail focused
