The Strategy & Assurance Team are looking for an experienced Portfolio Solutions Architect to join the Team on a fixed term basis. This organisation has a modern and legacy set of enterprise platforms and is an advocate for all of government capabilities and technologies which support the growing needs of New Zealand.

About the role

The Portfolio Architect will be responsible for the overall definition of the programme architectural vision, roadmap and transitional state definitions for the programme.

Collaborating and guiding both business stakeholders, solution architects and external business partners.

Reviewing of high-level requirements and architecture definitions by solution architects to ensure alignment to the architectural vision. Hosting and partaking in workshops as required.

Current team is managing a growing capability in SaaS/Cloud/PaaS/COTS, API, Microservices, Salesforce, GIS and Cloud Platforms with need for advice and guidance on solutions. They’re an advocate for Continuous Improvement and Delivery. Utilising DevOps approaches, they want to achieve automation and are building own Agile and DevOps practices.

About You:

The Portfolio Architect must have a good overall technical understanding and the ability to guide and direct both business and technical discussion, document and present technical solutions and clearly articulate and discuss options with our business stakeholders in terms they understand.

To be successful in the role you will need to have good interpersonal, strong oral and written communication skills along with great stakeholder relationship management skills.
