The suitable candidate will focus on the following areas and help drive the right outcome:

  • Strategic Leadership: The ability to lead strategically, influence and engage with other stakeholders in the organisation. Be analytically and solutions focused while influence with clear, persuasive and impactful communication.
  • Systems Leadership: Will be a key player in enhancing the organisational performance by driving innovation and continuous improvement from an organisational level, but also lead the systems performance to deliver to long term needs both for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Talent Management: Have the ability to manage and enhance the performance of people i.e. managers and their staff while coaching and develop talent within safety.
  • Delivery Management: The ability to deliver on short and long term projects, manage priorities and leverage of the capability of managers and their staff.

The safety professional will have strong technical health and safety knowledge, particularly related to risk management and factors/strategies to influence behaviours at a group level. You will be effective in project management and people management.
