Here at Randstad, we are currently recruiting contract Programme Managers for Wellington based opportunities.

A specific role available at this time is establishing and running a multi year programme (circa. $50m)

In order to be considered for the role you must have the following:

  • Experience with setting up a new programme management structure
  • Ability to run governance groups efficiently and effectively
  • Good understanding of Agile/SCRUM methodology
  • Sound business case development and approvals skills
  • Knowledge of techniques for planning, monitoring and controlling programmes
  • Effective leadership, interpersonal and communication skills
  • Command respect and to create a sense of community amongst the members of the project teams
  • Understanding of the procurement process including negotiation with third parties
  • Knowledge and experience in programme and project management methods including MSP and PRINCE2
  • Able to budget, forecast and manage resources
  • Seniority and credibility to advise project teams on their projects in relation to the programme
  • Able to preempt and problem solve
  • Able to deal with ambiguity – whilst the high-level programme scope has been agreed, the details are yet to be developed
  • Experience in a range of New Zealand Government agencies
  • Must have a driven mind-set, but must be a calm set of hands that can keep the programme team on track, react quickly and efficiently at time where urgency is required.
