project accountant - 12 month ftc.

The Project Accountant role will be responsible for providing accurate and timely financial information of performance management, project planning and decision support. This role involves budgeting, cash flow forecasting, scenario analysis and partnering with different stakeholders to ensure that financial outcomes and deadlines are being met for multiple projects.

The role will be well suited to an individual with experience in management or project accounting in a complex environment that is looking for the next step in their career. The role will be suited to someone who ideally has a project accounting background, recent experience with SAP and is able to influence key decision makers.

Responsibilities

• This role will involve looking after larger volumes of lower value projects in a busy and complex environment.
• Work closely with key stakeholders to understand the budgeting approach and requirements.
• Cash Flow forecasting for the project and being able to articulate and understand likely scenarios
• Partnering with project stakeholders to provide information and financial advice
• Provide accurate and timely monthly reports to relevant stakeholders along with commentary and analysis
• Identifying opportunities and risks in budgets and forecasts
• This role has up to four direct reports
• This is a 12 month contract to cover maternity leave

Requirements

• Degree qualified in Accounting, Finance or a business related field.
• Ideally CA or CPA qualified
• Demonstrated experience at a project level on TOW projects
• 2-3 years in a similar role
• Demonstrated experience partnering with senior management and being able to influence decision making processes
• Must have experience in SAP
• Proven experience managing people
