Randstad has a brand new opportunity to work in a newly created position for a growing financial services company as a Project Accountant, as the organisation go through an exciting phase of organic growth and acquisitions.

The role reports in to one of the organisation’s Finance Manager’s in their modern Central Wellington offices, where you’ll be the subject matter expert in implementing new IFRS for the group, leading accounting interpretation and implementation, alongside process improvement and systems accounting projects.

This is a new and exciting role where you can take the next step in your career on interesting and varied projects, giving you a real chance to make a different with a company that is going places!

Duties:

  • Implementation of new IFRS by required deadline, working effectively with the company’s APAC region and new acquisition.
  • Process improvement for all assigned tasks, including systems accounting initiatives, whilst participating in other project accounting work on an ad hoc basis.
  • Play a key role in timely and accurate business planning, with a particular focus on the new IFRS project, which is a key part of the organisation’s future growth and development.
  • Completion of assigned local and international monthly, quarterly and annual reporting requirements.

Requirements:

  • CA Qualification or equivalent
  • Relevant Tertiary Degree
  • 2+ years post CA accounting experience, ideally within a commercial environment.
  • Auditing/Big 4 or IFRS experience seen as a plus!
