Global Leaders Chubb Fire and Security Australia have recently secured one of Australia’s largest Security projects situated in the ACT. This is a highly complex and confidential project requiring high calibre strategic leaders from within the Electronic Security industry, who will relish the opportunity to work on multiple projects with the mandate “to improve operational performance, customer retention and drive projects towards greater overall profitability.”

Specifically we are interested in discussing this opportunity with Electronic Security Project Managers and Electronic Security Project Engineers.

Your ability to develop and nurture exceptional professional relationships is key to ensuring we exceed client expectations by delivering projects on schedule and within the agreed budget. Additionally taking full responsibility for all planning and day to day performance deliverables within the working sector, installing Integrated Security Systems.

Those in application must offer comprehensive Security Project experience and be widely reputed and dedicated to deliver best practice in the industry.

Project Engineer key responsibilities include:

  • Drafting and interpreting specifications, plans, drawings and designs.
  • Undertaking site inspections to ensure compliance with project specifications.
  • Interpreting engineering drawings to estimate total costs.
  • Determining construction/installation methods and materials.
  • Obtaining and analysing information to determine critical site factors.
  • Monitoring changes to designs and assessing impacts on project costs.
  • Project Set Up – assist with programme, methodology.
  • Develop, maintain, distribute and communicate the drawing and specification
  • registers;
  • Liaise with Architects, Engineers and project personnel in order to be fully briefed on project specifications and other technical matters, provide drawing and technical documentation as required;
  • Liaise with Site Supervisors and facilitate the accurate tracking and management of inspection and test plans, hold points, samples, prototypes and submissions;
  • Maintain and manage Request for Information and Document registers;
  • Oversee and manage technical queries within the timeframe and requirements of the project;
  • Developing and maintaining project documentation including QA/QC (Quality
  • Assurance/Quality Control) standards.
  • Develop and manage Scope of Works for subcontracts; assessing subcontractor and supplier quotes.
  • Assist the Project Manager with the preparation of the monthly reports;
  • Assist the Project Manager with the defects management processes.

Applicants will offer strong technical aptitude with working knowledge of associated industries and technologies. A wide understanding of security, access control and CCTV principles and a working knowledge of fibre based communications.

Be assured this is a high value project with the potential for expansion across multiple states. Those with an Electrical Bachelor Degree or Diploma in Project Management, Desirable Project planning software like MS project and Primavera, with Current Security and Defence Licences and Passes and an in depth knowledge of Defence and Government industry processes and procedures will be highly regarded.
