About the role
You will be working for a high profile developer on large scale land development projects. Managing both contractors and consultants, and getting involved in the commercial aspects of land and property development. If you have aspirations of becoming a property developer then this is a pathway for you.

Don’t be fooled, this is not easy and property development is a high stakes game. It takes a certain type of person to survive in this industry and it’s not for everyone. But if you are keen to learn, driven to succeed and highly ambitious you may really thrive in this.

We are looking for someone with an understanding of land development project management. You will have a good technical understanding of what can be built and what can’t and be comfortable managing both contractors and consultants. A strong understanding of NZS 3910 is essential. You may have had about 2 - 3 years experience in a contractor or consultancy and be looking to go down the path of becoming a developer.

Skills and experience

  • Engineering degree or relevant qualification
  • Minimum of 2-3 years experience as a Civil Engineer in an Engineering Consultancy or Contractor
  • Land development experience highly regarded
  • Understanding of NZS 3910 contracts
  • The ambition, drive and motivation to make it in a high stakes industry.

The environment is not for everyone, but if you thrive in a high performance, commercially driven, thick skinned environment then it could be for you. Those that will succeed in this environment are driven to master the art of property development, and not afraid to work hard to get there.

  • Excellent remuneration DOE
  • Centrally located offices
  • Pathway to Development Management
  • A steep learning curve
