About the Role - Kaiawhina Public Housing Coordinator
Te Rūnanga o Kirikiriroa is looking for a passionate and dedicated Public Housing Coordinator to join their Korowai Manaaki Team. Korowai Manaaki is a housing service that provides support to whanaunga by facilitating the transition of referred whanaunga through a temporary housing placement into permanent housing, including whānau plans that support future housing aspirations and ongoing wellbeing and needs.
A day in the role
- Overseeing and managing daily operations of the property portfolio.
- Handle any complaints or issues from tenants regarding the property,
- Carry out property inspections, manage exits and ensure that the property is legally compliant
- Keep and maintain records and regular reports.
... We are seeking a Public Housing Coordinator who
- Is experienced in working with individuals facing housing and wellbeing challenges
- Has the ability to de-escalate situations and engage in strength-based conversations
- Has a working knowledge of the Residential Tenancies Act and Business Online Services
- Display strong observational and analytical skills for problem-solving without bias
- Present cultural awareness for aligning with whānaunga aspirations, especially with Māori and Pasifika
- Strong self-management, planning, and time management skills
- Have the ability to manage boundaries, exercise ethical judgement, and apply policies and guidelines
- Current full New Zealand driver's license
