job description

The successful Qualified Primary Kaiako - Māori will be joining an excellent dedicated team, and the school will support you and give you the tools to have a successful career.

In this position you will:

  • Demonstrate excellent teaching practice
  • Be fluent in te reo Māori
  • Knowledge on the history of tikanga and whakapapa of our Ngai Tāmanuhiri iwi
  • Have knowledge of how to structure lessons to meet the academic and pastoral development of students
  • Be able to create and maintain safe, inclusive and challenging learning environments and implement fair and equitable behaviour management plans
  • Interact with and observe the children
  • Follow all health and safety requirements to ensure the safety of the children and support the staff at the school to a high level
