About the company:

You will be joining an organization with Auckland's best interest at heart. They are now embarking on numerous, well-supported information management initiatives and is now in need of an Information Management Specialist to help them in polishing their IM governance policies as well as in the end-to-end delivery of projects.

About the role:

As an Information Management Specialist, you will be engaged in numerous initiatives to manage information, data and records. You will as well spearhead the rationalization and development of an auto-classification system that will pave the way to the effective implementation and utilization of future data management applications.

Responsibilities:

To be successful in the role, it is a must that you are coming from a records and data management background and with proven strong stakeholder management skills. You will use the mentioned skills and experience in performing the following responsibilities:

  • Data management and governance - Use your knowledge in the application of ontology, taxonomy and metadata to provide IM Strategy and polish policies, guidelines and standards
  • Business Analysis & Project Delivery - end to end project delivery from project scoping/ discovery phase through to decommissioning of systems. Applying information and records management knowledge to govern a wide variety of data sources from the business (including but not limited to processes, procedures, CCTV footages, spreadsheets, reporting, diagrams, drawings and other data sources).
  • Stakeholder Management - Build relationships with business system users, making sure that you get a good understanding of what they want and need for their systems and translate them into technical specifics.

Qualifications:

  • At least 3 years of experience in library or records and data management within a large complex/ government environment
  • Experience in Sharepoint Information architecture (content types, term store attributes and search)
  • Formal education in Records and Data Management or Information management is preferred
