My client is seeking an experienced Sales Representative/Business Development Specialist for a position selling into the fast-paced construction industry. This newly created position will be focussed on sourcing new customers within the Christchurch region.


In this role you will be responsbile for:

- Growing business in your designated territory by cold calling to meet new clients

- Obtaining plans and delivering quotes to customers in a timely manner

- Meeting with existing customers to try and increase their spend

- Promotion of new product lines

- Working as part of a team to ensure that you meed and exceed sales targets

- Maintaining accurate database records

Ideal candidate

Our ideal candidate has experience selling into the construction/trade market and has a proven track record of new business development. You will describe yourself as a 'hunter' of new business rather than a farmer, and genuinely enjoy building your client base. Above all, you will also be a team player who enjoys working with others and being part of a great culture.
