Our client is currently looking for an excellent Security Architect to join their organisation. You will be providing support to the Head of Enterprise Architecture to ensure that a holistic enterprise wide perspective is applied, optimised security decisions are made, and appropriate end to end solutions are delivered to meet business needs.

You will also be responsible for leading and managing the development and evolution of the Enterprise Security Architecture practice. They will define ICT Security systems architecture to support the ISSP and then dive deeply into technology issues in order to develop Security roadmaps extending out for 3-5 years.

Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities:

  • Develop and maintain a comprehensive Security strategy and roadmap that supports the businesses growth agenda and strategy
  • Develop and maintain a security architecture framework that is fit for purpose strategically and operationally
  • Work closely with appropriate ICT teams to guide and develop the ICT Security strategy, including security development of the ISSP
  • Assist with the design and development for new and existing solutions/systems integration projects and coordinating with other new cloud initiatives
  • Assist with integrating new and existing solutions into the corporate enterprise. Execute on strategic solutions, participate in planning sessions within the various teams and business
  • Ongoing research of emerging security technologies and trends, in order to ensure modern but pragmatic tools and techniques are used in solutions, including presentation for business case for consideration
  • Monitor and report progress against the ICT security programme of work, business plan and security initiatives
  • Effectively assist in the development and ongoing improvement of the ICT Security standards, policies and principles and meeting security compliance and or risk and audit
  • Lead, manage and document IT risk assessments with business SMEs and IT Portfolio managers

What You Need:

  • 10+ plus years in IT Security (Enterprise Level) would be ideal
  • Proven Architectural and Solution planning and building skills
  • Previous experience in setting up an ICT security function
  • Experience managing and maintaining IT Security risk assessments
  • Excellent communication, influencing and negotiating skills
  • Technical writing and presentation
  • Tertiary Education in Information Technology or a related discipline
