I am currently looking for an experienced Financial Administrator with a proven track record of success in looking after an Accounts Payable function. Reporting to the Finance Manager, this role requires proven Accounts Payables experience and well developed people skills with an emphasis on accurate data entry. It will offer a wide degree of variety in the tasks you will undertake in an environment which is both fluid and challenging.

Administration relating to the project:

  • Document control, compliance, tracking and recording
  • Control of contractor timesheets and facilitation of approval processes
  • Processing of any journals to reallocate actual/budget costs as required, preparation of monthly accrual journals.
  • Administer new supplier set up where necessary.
  • Adherence to procurement limits of authorities.
  • Preparation of monthly reports as required by the Finance Manager.

Accounts/Creditor Maintenance relating to the project:

  • Generate purchase orders – issuing and receipting
  • Processing and facilitating invoice processing and creditor reconciliations
  • Manage disputed invoices
  • Resolve accounts queries
  • Liaise with internal accounts teams to manage payment protocols to suppliers and subcontractors

  • Flexibility and adaptability
  • Strong personality who can enforce system protocols
  • Team Player and able to work with a wide spectrum of people
  • Complex decision making and problem solving skills
  • Good relationship management skills including the ability to establish and maintain a high level of trust and confidence with team members and key stakeholders
  • High level of computer literacy, candidates with JD Edwards experience will be highly regarded
  • Confident and capable multi-tasker with the ability to manage multiple projects at one time
  • High attention to detail, time management and attentive listening skills
  • Demonstrated experience in JDE within accounts payable on construction projects is preferred
