The Team

The Research and Evaluation team is responsible for providing data and research to the policy teams and the wider organisation, empowering significant changes that are better for the community and can positively impact a wider group of people.

This is a new team and will be focusing on growth and better outcomes. They support each other, share knowledge and experience and want like minded people to join them through this important time of establishing a capability

The Role

As a Senior Advisor you will be taking the lead to provide quantitative and qualitative analysis, delivering research and evaluations that builds an evidence base. This evidence base allows them to make informed policy and investment decisions to improve outcomes.

Leading data related engagements within the organisation, and with other government agencies and external stakeholders, to improve access and use of data on wellbeing outcomes.

Work on dedicated project streams using your technical knowledge on research and evaluation methodologies, contributing insights to provide the necessary data for excellent data driven decision making. Establish key milestones, timelines and requirements necessary to deliver.

As a Senior, help mentor and develop the team to improve delivery and help them on a career journey.

Experience and characteristics

For this position the successful person will have experience in the following areas as a preference:

  • Experience as a lead on engagements and research and evaluation projects to deliver outcomes
  • Solid demonstrable analytical skills, preferably in context to quantitative and qualitative analytics, statistical analysis or a similar field in data analytics
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to interact with stakeholders internally and externally
  • A passion for teamwork and collaboration and a willingness to mentor others, share your own knowledge and experience
  • Working within the public sector in your field will be highly desirable
