Senior Analyst

Proud to be exclusively working alongside one of Wellington’s leading Government Agencies in creating a new team which will be responsible for gathering information which will have a serious effect on decision making within the organisation.

The Company

This Government Agency is responsible for a vital service to New Zealand and is full of highly passionate people who want to make things better for the country. As a relatively new Ministry they are still working out how to better provide their capabilities to New Zealand.

The Team

This is a brand new team that is forming and will need to build its own culture and form of good delivery. With the right manager leading from the front they will be responsible for using data, surveys and analytics to provide the necessary tools to affect decision making within the organisation.

The Role

As a senior in this team you will be providing continuous improvements and enhancements through data, modeling and analytics and building a high performance team. The deliverables are strictly about Wellbeing for their customers and as a newly created team there is an excellent opportunity to make this into something unique.

Some accountabilities will include:

  • Working at a strategic level to collaboratively improve Wellbeing for New Zealanders.
  • Being able to understand and interpret data.
  • Progressive Modeling and Analytics to improve long term Wellbeing and in real time for incremental improvements.
  • Being involved in the development of a new team including leading, mentoring and maintaining a high standard.
  • Have experience with survey design.
  • Guarantee quality assurance, analysis and reporting that you produce.
  • Lead the provision of advice and recommendations.
  • Assist development and lead implementation of approaches to measure outcomes and prioritise action.
  • Lead collaboration across teams and with external business users with great relationship and connection building.
  • Manage survey process and be engaging – take the point of lead.
  • Experience with SAS or similar systems tools.

Experience

This role needs a capable senior with excellent capabilities in leading teams in a Data and Analytics capacity. Being a part of building the team is a major component so great communication skills, patience and a drive to deliver a quality service are important. A strategic thinker with a passion for their work and a solid understanding of data and reporting tools and technologies would be preferred.
