The role

As a Senior BI Developer, you will be responsible for the build, design and management of the big data environment in the Cloud. You’ll be fine tuning the infrastructure and collecting data from different data sources, making this user ready for the team of Analyst’s and Data scientist’s.

It’s is a growing team offering lots of opportunity to discover and explore the world of Big Data with the support of management. Good communication skills are key as the team is working in an Agile environment plus you need to have the ability to communicate meaningful data solutions to different levels of stakeholders. Another crucial requirement is high attention to detail & time/task management skills.

The requirements

Main responsibilities:

  • Involved in designing, coding and testing of complex programs and applications
  • Modify and maintain data structures using data modelling techniques
  • Develop and maintain documentation
  • Coaching, guiding and mentoring junior developers

To be successful in this role, you will need to demonstrate:

  • A minimum of 5 years experience
  • Experience with design and development of data warehouse
  • Experience with tools such as SSIS, SSRS, SSAS and Power BI
  • Experience with coaching and mentoring junior developers
  • Strong problem solving skills

This role would suit someone with a Mathematics, Statistics or Computer Science/Engineering degree.
