Senior eCommerce (SAP Hybris) Developer - Auckland

This organisation is a well-known Government agency offering crucial services to the people of New Zealand. They have a fantastic pedigree and great brand. They are now looking to expand their eCommerce team in the development space and hire two senior level developers which will enable them to enhance their offerings and services.

About the role

The primary purpose of this role is to develop and support the organisations software application, this includes in-house developed eCommerce applications, application integration support, third-party applications and a number of reporting applications. You will be the specialist SAP-Hybris Developer in the department helping drive and support all current and upcoming projects.

This organisation offers you a unique chance to support current SAP-Hybris projects but also lead on upcoming work (which there is a lot of!). You will join an established eCommerce team with an extended in-house team that will support you to be efficient and detailed in your delivery. You will be able to learn and development new skills and will be encouraged to embrace new modern technologies.

Skills and experience

  • Strong background in using SAP Hybris
  • Previous senior level / leadership experience would be ideal
  • Strong commercial development experience in Java / J2EE
  • MVC framework experience - Spring / Hibernate etc.
  • Knowledge of unit testing and following practices such as TDD beneficial
  • Experience working in a Agile environment following flavours such as Scrum, Kanban and/or Lean (ideal but not essential)
  • A passion to continuously grow and develop your skills set
  • Polished communication and interpersonal skills
