senior financial analyst in Wellington Central

We currently have a great opportunity overseeing the accuracy and integrity of a large ongoing government project based in the Wellington CBD on a 6 Month contract with an immediate start desired (but not essential). This role will give you the opportunity to overlook agreements and records of a large ongoing government project while establishing processes and building relationships with key internal and external teams.

You will be a proven CA with solid experience of advising, working strategically and applying critical thinking within a complex organisation, while providing financial support to managers at a senior level.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support the Investment & Finance teams, Investment Advisors and Project Managers/Coordinators to ensure projects are set up properly.
• Liaise with Investment & Finance teams, Investment Advisors and other teams to clarify requirements while ensuring compliance throughout.
• Develop and implement processes for confirmation of actuals, accruals, budget and forecast, commentary for monthly, quarterly and annual reports.
• Develop and document completion requirements and processes as per funding agreements.
• Participate and contribute through transformation by thinking, acting and advocating the change

Key Requirements:

• CA Qualification or Equivalent.
• 5+ years relevant experience in a large organisation.
• Proven ability to build and maintain trusted, respectful and constructive relationships
• Experience in Management/Financial Accounting.
