Senior Java Developer – Spring, CICD, AWS

About the company

This is an exciting opportunity to join a well-known, famous Kiwi organisation. The team you’ll be working in are dynamic and dedicated creating and supporting market leading applications predominantly in the customer experience management space. They work in a highly agile manner where innovation and rapid prototyping are key drivers.

About the role

  • You will participate in requirements development, system architecture and work planning
  • You will perform high-quality software development according to received requirements
  • Solve complex issues and analyse the requirements and develop application architecture
  • Develop new functionality according to the customer's requirements
  • Provide software maintenance and communicate with the customer to clarify business requirements
  • Develop unit tests and conduct code reviews and code refactoring

Skills and experience

  • Strong commercial development experience in Java / J2EE
  • Framework experience - Spring / Hibernate etc.
  • Knowledge of unit testing and following practices such as TDD beneficial
  • Experience programming in JavaScript ideally React.JS
  • Experience working in a Agile environment following flavours such as Scrum, Kanban and/or Lean (ideal but not essential)
  • Database experience in SQL or MongoDB
  • Any experience with Drupal would be advantageous
  • A passion to continuously grow and develop your skills set
  • Polished communication and interpersonal skills
