Work for a rapidly growing cyber security company specialising in creating and marketing innovative, leading edge software and technical solutions. They provide critical infrastructure to the NZ government.

Reporting to the Technical Services Manager, we are seeking a senior, experienced, well-rounded, self-motivated person to join our System Engineering team. You will need to have a range of technical skills including a detailed understanding of core internet technologies.

The role is varied and will be mostly system engineering focused. This will include some customer support, mentoring and guiding other system engineers, and becoming familiar with all the Company’s Security products and services, including SEEMail, PKI certificate renewals, DNS queries, and security compliance requirements. Some after-hours work may be required.

Experience desirable in the following technical areas:

Core Linux OS experience – distribution agnostic

Linux automation, management, orchestration, and maintenance

Scripting experience is beneficial

Containerisation experience

Sound understanding of DNS

Sound understanding of PKI

Mail routing and filtering

Networking – router, switch, firewall

IT security principles

You need to be innovative with a "can do" attitude.

You MUST be able to obtain a New Zealand security clearance so will need to have been resident in New Zealand for at least 5 years.
