Senior IT Engineer - Permanent Full-Time - Auckland

The Role: Are you an experienced IT Engineer with a talent for advanced networking and problem-solving? We are looking for a Senior IT Engineer to play a crucial role in managing and optimizing enterprise IT environments. Your expertise in AWS, O365, Azure, and related technologies will be key in ensuring the seamless operation of critical systems and infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and optimize enterprise environments in AWS and/or O365 & Azure.
- Oversee Kubernetes, VMware, Linux, Windows, Configuration Management, Automation, and/or Infrastructure as Code.
- Maintain the performance and reliability of server and storage hardware, backups, HA/DR/BC, Active Directory, Group Policy, and Certificate Management (PKI).
- Configure and manage network switching and firewalls using Juniper or Cisco.
- Implement and uphold security frameworks and technologies such as ISO 27001, NIST 800-171, IPSEC, SSL VPNs, and firewalls.
Qualifications:
- Advanced skills and experience in networking.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities with a strategic outlook.
- Extensive knowledge of AWS and/or O365 & Azure enterprise environments.
- Proficiency in Kubernetes, VMware, Linux, Windows, Configuration Management, Automation, and/or Infrastructure as Code.
- Experience with server and storage hardware, backups, HA/DR/BC, Active Directory, Group Policy, Certificate Management (PKI), DNS, and DHCP.
- Expertise in Juniper or Cisco network switching and firewall configuration and management.
- Familiarity with security frameworks/technology like ISO 27001, NIST 800-171, IPSEC, SSL VPNs, and firewalls.
Desirable:
- Specialist qualifications in relevant areas such as CISM, AWS, Azure, Microsoft, VMware, etc.
