This is a busy Queenstown based consultancy who work with both private and public sector clients in the Otago region. Due to significant growth over the past year, they are seeking to add addition headcount in their transport division.

The Role/Opportunity:

This Queenstown based consultancy is seeking a Senior Transport Engineer with good general infrastructure experience in the transport space. This person will work investigations, initial design/detailed design, and specialist city/town planning but relating to transport.

Planners and Transport Engineers work closely together to design space for pedestrians, cyclists, and even lime scooters, making this a very collaborative working environment.

This consultancy has also recently taken on commercial projects, which will see them work on malls and other large commercial scale buildings by designing their transport factors; roundabouts, car parking spaces and cycle parking etc.

Our Candidate:

  • Civil engineering qualification
  • Comfortable liaising with clients and stakeholders.
  • Experience in general infrastructure within the transport space
  • CPEng is highly sought after but not essential, although showing you are actively working towards chartership will be attractive to this consultancy.
  • Comfortable with business development; There is a BD element to this role as the expectation will be to seek out work with existing clients but also new business, and get in front of the right people.
  • Comfortable working with remote teams. You will be based in Queenstown, but now and again may be asked to be part of projects across the country. So good relationships with colleagues in other offices is key.
