The role.

We have an exciting new opportunity in local government for a Project Advisor. This role is with an organisation at the heart of the capital; representing all Wellington residents and businesses.

The project advisor will lead, facilitate and deliver special governance projects throughout 2019. The role will involve high-level, strategic project planning across multiple, diverse work streams, as well as confident management and communication upwards to senior stakeholders.

This role requires;

  • Experience applying project and portfolio management methodologies.
  • An understanding of local government processes.
  • Strong leadership skills.
    • Confidence communicating with senior leadership.
    • Support a diverse range of business units.
    • Facilitate a collaborative team environment.
  • Political sensitivity, discretion and impartiality.
  • Attention to detail when dealing with large amounts of complex information.
  • Organisation and prioritisation
  • Respect and advocacy of local Iwi needs and values internally, and in the wider Wellington community.

A successful candidate should be solutions focussed, understand the importance of customer service and lead with energy, drive and professionalism.
