As a financial institution, it is vital that financial reporting is done in a timely and accurate manner. This is a leadership role which requires strong influencing skills with internal and external stakeholders.

Key Accountabilities:
• Responsible for production and review of quarterly Disclosure Statements in accordance
with all applicable legislative and accounting standard requirements
• Responsible for production and review of half and full year financial statements for
subsidiaries and certain other entities operating in New Zealand in accordance with all
applicable legislative and accounting standard requirements
• Responsible for the preparation and review of board and audit committee memorandums
required in relation to the statutory financial statements
• Liaison with external audit on half and full year disclosure statements, and subsidiary financial
statements as required
• Assessing and implementing changes to the statutory financial reporting as required by
changes in accounting standards and policies, and legislative and regulatory changes
• Ensuring appropriate reconciliations and controls are in place and operating effectively in
relation to the production of the Bank’s statutory financial reporting
• Undertake strategic finance projects
• Identifying and implementing opportunities for process improvement
• Leading project teams, coaching and mentoring junior colleagues.
